The pneumatically controlled EasyBlast unit (pictured left) has a convenient footswitch that frees both hands for operation of the object and the jet pencil. The ergonomically designed Duostar plus and Duostar Z blasters (right) can be configured to recirculate media for removing investment material or for single-use precision crown-and-bridge techniques.

The compact Pony recirculating sandblaster has a hinged 5” x 7” window and internal bright illumination for clear viewing, a lever-type air gun that provides pin-point abrasive spray control, a sealed left-hand neoprene glove, and an on/off light switch on the cord. The unit requires only 60 to 90 psi compressed air for effective operation.

Standing more than 4 feet high on little more than 2 square feet of floor area, the versatile Shell/Sandblaster abrasive unit uses either walnut shell abrasive or sand and glass microbeads. It features a lower pull-out tray for easy cleaning, an on/off footswitch, built-in suction, a large viewing window, and bright internal lighting.

Italian-manufactured Dentalfarm units incorporate the D.O.S. (dry oxide system), which heats the abrasive to eliminate humidity, the Quick Discharge Valve for immediate stop of blasting flow, and the WAFIS (Water Air Filtering System) to filter abrasive dust from the cabinet. The German-made Wassermann line of abrasive systems each feature durable, flexible, electrically conductive hoses to eliminate spark erosion; colored-coded media chambers; adjustable, pulsation-free blasting; and an integrated blow-out nozzle.

The Sand-Shot Foursome modular sandblasting system can be expanded from the basic 2 tanks to a 4-tank system. It features in-chamber color-coded tank selection and corresponding spray jet handle, which all have high-density Xenite tips for precise control. The clear Glass Guard auto-cling protective layer shields the window from scratches.

The Xcavator automated divesting unit is designed to drastically reduce and streamline divesting time. Compatible with any vacuum system and small enough to sit on the bench top, it cuts the two most common investment ring sizes (100- and 200-gram) without damage to the coping or framework. In addition, rings can be cut while still hot, saving even more time. The unit features calibration to ring size to ensure consistent cutting, variable speeds for proper depth of cut, and a clear cover to visually monitor the cutting process.

Constructed of heavy-gauge steel finished in a durable, baked coating, the compact 51 tabletop sandblaster features a hinged front access door, a rubber side glove, a 5” square window, a lever air-control valve, and a 3” exhaust port that allows for placement in confined areas. The tabletop unit can be used with sand, glass beads, or walnut shells.

The compact Vario Basic combined recyclable and fine sandblasting unit is designed to carry out all the usual blasting tasks required by medium-sized and small labs. The larger Vario-Jet recyclable blaster (pictured) is indicated for rational and intensive sand-blasting in either automatic or manual mode. Both have highly resistant, coated glass screens.

The Dual Purpose Blaster comes with both a non-recirculating micro pencil system and a large nozzle recirculating system for divesting. Designed to accommodate a full range of abrasives including aluminum oxide, glass beads, and walnut shells, it has a large work chamber, foot control, and regulator.

The complete Deluxe Micro Suction Cabinet (model 2102246) has two Micro Pencils— one for new abrasive and one for recycled material; a third handpiece can be added for a choice of aluminum oxide or glass bead abrasive materials. The blasting pencil has a ceramic tip to prevent contamination of ceramic alloys; a longer-wear carbide tip also is available.

Available in 1-, 2-, and 3-tank configurations, the heavy-production X-Blast abrasive blaster system has an ergonomic handle that features an instant off/variable- flow control and tungsten-carbide nozzles. The spacious, all-steel work chamber includes rear and side vacuum ports and a hinged glass window. See-through tanks facilitate media tracking.

The SandStorm line of microabrasive blasters includes the Expert economy model with a low-maintenance media flow system; the XL model has the same features but a larger cabinet; the Prestige (pictured) and Prestige I/O (instant-off) models with 3 tanks and 3 handpieces for different media; and the Professional model for light-duty touch-ups.

Offering color-coded tank/handpiece selection in the blasting chamber, the Basic Quattro, Basic Quattro IS, Basic Master, and Basic Classic units provide a range of capacities for various abrasive blasting procedures. The Basic Quattro IS model (pictured) also includes a footpedal-operated immediate-stop function to maintain pressure consistency.
